Crafts for Christ meets the first and third Sundays of each month following the second service. The focus is primarily tied fleece blankets for the SERVE homeless shelter. If you can cut and/or tie fabric, you’re welcome to join the group!
Our other major craft project is knitted or crocheted prayer shawls; knitters and crocheters of all levels of experience are also wanted.
Everyone is welcome, as are new ideas for how we can use our hands to do God's work.

Confirmation is a two-year process of learning about God through the Scriptures and through Luther’s Small Catechism. The goal of this process is to give our youth a firm foundation in the faith and model for the Christian life. Confirmation usually takes place during the 7th and 8th grade years (youth beginning after 7th grade may participate in consultation with the pastor). It is important to understand that Confirmation is optional. Lutherans do not consider Confirmation to be a sacrament but rather a time when young people take on the responsibility of being adult Christians. This is why Confirmation classes are not offered during the regular Sunday School hour as an assumed part of the curriculum. Confirmation is also a commitment. It requires that parents, youth, mentors and pastors dedicate time and energy toward this activity. As described in the "requirements" section of the handbook, the intent of the requirements is to encourage good habits in the areas of worship, education, fellowship and service.
Bethel's Confirmation program is a two-year program using the "Here We Stand" curriculum from Augsburg Fortress. Confirmation Classes meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. A light supper will be served at 6:00 p.m.

Sharing coffee and goodies is a wonderful part of Sunday morning fellowship. The Coffee Hour gives people a place to meet one another, catch up on the week's events, share concerns, and laugh together. Those who host the Coffee Hour set up coffee before the 8:00am service and keep the coffee flowing until clean up following the second service. If you have the gift of hospitality, this would be a great place for you to serve. If you have questions about this ministry, please contact Grace Schultz. |

Delivering flowers after worship is one way Bethel cares for our members who are not able to be with us. Following the second worship service, those who participate in this ministry deliver flowers to hospital patients, shut-ins or, if there was a baptism that Sunday, to the family of the newly baptized. According to Manny and Jean Fontana who have participated in this ministry for many years, "This is such a good ministry - we get to know the people and they love the visits as much or more than the flowers." Delivering the flowers and visiting takes about two hours each week. If you would like to be part of this ministry, please contact Win Lightner. For further information: Win Lightner
