Shekinah Shekinah Shekinah Shekinah
The 6th-8th graders are going on a retreat in March, called Shekinah. For these annual retreats, we are asked to bring either a financial or physical offering. This year, they are asking us to put together some toiletry kits for children and teens with HIV/AIDS that attend a summer camp in the DC area.
HELP SUPPORT YOUTH HAVEN CAMPS opportunity for young people affected by HIV-AIDS
Bethel's 6th-8th grade students attending Shekinah (an annual retreat) will be assembling kits for those kids participating in summer camps at Youth Haven this summer. We are inviting the congregation to be a part of this project by assembling kits at home, or purchasing gift cards for the camp. Included below are instruction on what to include. When you have assembled as many kits as you are able, please place them in one of the labeled cardboard boxes outside Elizabeth's or Bethel's main office door.
Please pack each kit in a ziplock plastic bag and label it "Girl" "Guy" or "Child"
