The Bell Tower Ringers is an adult handbell group.  We practice on Monday nights from 7:00-8:30 pm and we participate in both worship services on the first Sunday of the month.  We also, on occasion, will perform evening concerts at Christmas time and in June before the summer break.

In the spring we also attend the Virginia Handbell Festival.  Festival is an opportunity to learn more about the bells through classes and performing with other groups.  Festival comes to an end with a concert where all groups participate.  It is not mandatory that everyone attend Festival, but it is recommended.  It is a great time for learning more about the bells and also getting to know others in your group.

Anyone is welcome to come and join.  You do not need to know how to read music.  We will teach you along the way.  All you need is to want to have fun, a desire to learn, and a willingness to make a small commitment of one and a half hours per week for rehearsal and to perform the first Sunday a month during the Church Service.

The bell program has been growing the last few years; with our 2007 purchase of 2 more octaves, we are now a 5-octave bell choir.  In the future we envision adding both a Senior High Bell Choir and another adult bell choir (to have both beginner and advanced levels).
